I'll give this a try, but will add my own twist. Don't think I've ever used a round trimming tool or have seen anyone else use as many different trimming tools as I do.

I've made bowls that were similar by throwing a thick bowl, then slicing down the sides wides with a wiggle wire while the wheel was moving slowly. Once fully faceted, open a bit more and finish off the rim.
